This is an old school type step. It is made very well. You will have to do a little work to make it fit your vehicle but I like it. Its not sleek but very functional, the wife likes it, still hates my 4x4 but she aint driving it. If your not to handy with some light metal work get a buddy to help you install it. Like I said its old school but made well. Rob
I bought one for each side of my F-350 CC short box. Took less then an hour to install with a couple wrenches and a screw driver. They seem pretty sturdy. Haven't had to use them yet but sure look like they'll do the trick.
Great steps looks great very sturdy. Install Instruction could be better. But after figuring it out went on easy. You'll need a good drill. A compact one would be best a 1/8" drill bit a 3/16" drill bit and a 3/8" drill bit a maker and a square Phillips head. Awesome product.
Wow.... these look really nice and are VERY solidly constructed. The instructions were easy to understand and I got them mounted just fine. Being female I don't have a ton of experience with automotive things either. The package includes all sorts of adaptive hardware to mount them to what ever structure you encounter with your vehicle. A great bargain!!!!
It's a great product, I bought this along with the SportRack to help me reach the cargo box and more items. It worked perfectly, no rattles. I like being able to adjust the depth when I'm not using the step I push it all the way in towards the car. One thing that I wasn't included in the description is that it doesn't come with a 5/8 inch hitch pin. I had to fork out another 5 bucks at home depot for a pin, it wasn't a big deal but it could be for someone that may not have a local store to make a run. Would be 5 stars if the pin was include, at least detail the non included item.
Installed these on a 02' F-150. Used just one nut/bolt on the bottom and one self-tapping screw on the side wall. They hold my 235 lb frame with ease. For $35, they do the job. Highly recommended if you're not looking to spend a lot of $ on side steps.
